July 23, 2026 in Sport It has just been announced that the NSW Rally Championship will be returning to Oberon in November, based at the Sports Complex and using Hampton and Jenolan forests. As the Australian Motor Sport Action Group (AMSAG) have a round of their series scheduled for Black Springs two weeks earlier we are facing a likely plethora of forest action. The two series attract different fields of competitors so all we have to do is hope that neither event is cancelled because of weather or some other manifestation of force majeur.  | It's a new record! July 2, 2026 in Community and Sport What can you say about the 2026 Can Assist auction except "WOW!"? $80,000 raised to help support people with cancer in ther Oberon area. This annual event by everyone associated with rugby league in Oberon has raised $420,000 overt the years for the charity, and each year gets bigger than the ones before. The auction was held at the Oberon Leagues Club following a full day of action on the field, with the auction conducted by the auction experts - Bowyer & Livermore. The question now is "How much will be raised in 2027?".
